Jakub Andre

Founder of College Council; former long jumper

Jakub Andre (born Jakub Andrzejczak, 13 June 1998) is a Polish entrepreneur and former long jumper. He is the founder and chief executive of College Council, an international university-admissions consultancy and test-preparation software publisher whose site drew 198,665 visitors in the three months to 5 September 2026, and the founder of Okiro Education, Inc., the Delaware corporation that publishes its software.[7][9][10][12]

As an athlete he won the silver medal in the long jump at the 2017 European Athletics U20 Championships with a jump of 8.02 m, placed eighth at the 2016 World U20 Championships, and set a Polish U20 indoor record in the triple jump that stood for nine years.[1][3][4] He competed in the NCAA for Florida State University and Indiana University, winning conference team titles with both, and graduated from Indiana's Kelley School of Business in 2020.[1][5][6][11] He publishes under the name Jakub Andre; athletics records and his Wikipedia entry use his birth name.[1][8][11]

Early life and athletics career [edit]

Andrzejczak was born on 13 June 1998 and grew up in Aleksandrów Łódzki, near Łódź, where he attended the SMSO-LO Kopernicus sports school.[1][5] He won multiple Polish junior national titles in the long jump and triple jump, and placed eighth in the long jump at the 2016 World U20 Championships.[1][3][5]

On 12 February 2017 in Toruń he set a Polish U20 indoor record in the triple jump with 15.95 m; the record stood until 18 January 2026.[1][3] On 21 July 2017 at the European U20 Championships in Grosseto he jumped 8.02 m in the long jump, his first jump beyond eight metres, to take the silver medal behind Miltiadis Tentoglou of Greece (8.07 m) and ahead of Héctor Santos of Spain (7.96 m); the mark is the second-best in the history of Polish junior athletics.[1][4] In March 2018 he was named Aleksandrów Łódzki's Sportsperson of the Year for 2017.[1]

NCAA career and education [edit]

Andrzejczak moved to the United States in January 2018 to compete for Florida State University, arriving, in the words of the team's roster, as one of Europe's rising jumps stars. He placed fourth in the long jump at the 2018 ACC indoor championships with 7.54 m, a collegiate best, as Florida State took the team title.[1][6]

From 2019 he represented Indiana University, placing seventh in the long jump at the 2020 Big Ten indoor championships; Indiana won the conference team title that season.[1][5] He graduated from Indiana's Kelley School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in 2020.[1][8][11]

College Council [edit]

Andre founded College Council in 2018, the year it helped its first student gain admission to an Ivy League university, and he leads it as founder and chief executive.[7] Under his direction the consultancy grew from application support for Polish students into an international group with a marketing site in 17 languages, the College Council admissions app, the Okiro SAT engine and the eight-exam Prepclass platform with iOS and Android apps.[7][9] In August 2025 he incorporated Okiro Education, Inc. in Delaware through Stripe Atlas to publish the group's software; the corporation appears as the developer of record on Google Play and the Apple App Store.[9][10]

He writes the site's university and admissions guides under the byline "Jakub Andre, Founder College Council (Indiana University Kelley '20)".[8]

Name [edit]

Andre's birth name is Jakub Andrzejczak, the form used by the Polish Athletics Association, World Athletics, Wikipedia and the Florida State and Indiana rosters.[1][3][5][6] In his business and publishing activity he uses the shortened surname Andre, which appears on College Council's site, its bylines and its correspondence.[7][8][11]
